In preparation for this year’s annual job fair, our committee has been working with the Les Cheneaux Community School to incorporate skill-building sessions for the students. These would take place in the week directly ahead of the job fair.
It is our goal to address several topics that would provide beneficial knowledge to the students prior to the job fair and serve them well into their journey beyond the school walls. For example, we could speak about the interview process, including communication skills (both verbal and nonverbal), how to stand out during an interview, resume building, and more!
The breadth of what could be covered (and their time allotment) is directly impacted by how many chamber-member participants we receive. We can pair you with a topic, or if you have one you feel passionate about, we’d love to hear it! Who knows – perhaps you might meet a student you’d like to intern for next semester’s work-study program…
We look forward to hearing from you before March 15th!
