Most activities will be based in Cedarville this year, but please check each activity description for details on location, registration, etc.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 16
8 am: Pike and Perch Fishing Contest Begins (sponsored by Islands Wildlife & Les Cheneaux Chamber of Commerce) through dark on Sunday, Feb. 19. Cash prizes for top three fish in adult and youth divisions, with $100 Grand Prize in adult division for largest pike and perch. $10 adult & $5 kids registration fee. Must register before fishing. Winners will be notified by phone on Monday Feb. 20. Take advantage of Michigan’s FREE FISHING weekend by participating in our Snowsfest Fishing Contest! No license required for fishing on February 18-19
11 am-1 PM: Ice Hole Closest to the Pin Competition. Register at Snowsfest tent. Shooting from 11 am to 1 pm. $10 registration with your Snowsfest button for 3 shots at getting your ball closest to the pin. Great prizes!
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 17
3 p.m. – 5 pm: Winter Warm-Up at the Great Lakes Boat Building School – open house with hot beverages, with live music and jam session. Everyone is welcome to tour the school, and musicians are encouraged to come and jam with the band!
5 pm: Snow Statue and Snow Buddy Judging – Must be registered by 4 p.m. to be judged. Register by calling 484-3935 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
1 to 5:30 pm: Les Cheneaux Community Library Book Sale at the Library on Hodeck Street, Cedarville
5 pm through Friday evening: Snowsfest Pub Shuffle – visit Cattail’s Cove, Hessel Kewadin Casino, Islander Bar, Runway, and Snow’s Bar & Grill to vote on your favorite bar. Ballots are available at each establishment. Must visit all establishments and complete entire ballot for votes to be counted. Themed costumes encouraged!
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 18
8:00 to 11 am: Pancake and Sausage Breakfast – at Les Cheneaux Community Schools cafeteria. Served by Les Cheneaux Snowmobile Club.
9:00 a.m.: Cardboard Box Sled Races – Create your own Dr. Seuss-themed sled, or any style of decoration welcome! Race will be at the Les Cheneaux Community Schools sledding hill in Cedarville. Use elementary school parking lot on Hilltop Drive. ALL ages welcome. Register at 9 a.m. Racing at 10 a.m.
NOTE: Register in advance with Joanne Baker at Les Cheneaux Schools. Early registration preferred, but you can register the day of the race from 9:00 am to 9:40 a.m. Judging at 9:45 a.m.
RULES: Sleds must be made of cardboard and can have minimal wood. Plastic runners or plastic bottoms are fine, but runners should be curved upward. Please no metal runners for everyone’s
safety!! Only one participant per sled, please! Participants are encouraged to have a Dr. Seuss-themed sled and costume, however, any style of decorating will be accepted. $5 registration per contestant & Snowsfest button required.
10 a.m.: Vintage Snowmobile Ride from Hessel to Cedarville followed by display of vintage sleds at Snowsfest in Cedarville. Dust off your old sleds and join other vintage collectors for a ride! Meet at E.J. Mertaugh Boat Works in Hessel. Ride from Hessel to Cedarville. Snowmobiles 25 years and older are invited to the ride and rendezvous. E.J. Mertaugh Boat Works will have a warm-up spot and hot drinks for riders before the ride leaves for Cedarville.
11:30 a.m.: Ceremonial Snowman Burning & Blessing of Snowsfest – Cedarville Launch Ramp area, featuring Pastor Joe Daiker of Bethel Lutheran Church in Cedarville, with Deb Bailey of Hessel singing the National Anthem.
10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Les Cheneaux Winter Makers Market Arts and Crafts Show at the Clark Township Community Center, Cedarville. Featuring 23 artisans, craft-makers and vendors, offering everything from locally-roasted coffee, etched glass, handmade soap, Nordic hats, birch bark frames, wooden tables, fine art photography, and much, much more!
10 a.m. to 3 p.m: Les Cheneaux Community Library Book Sale continues at the Library on Hodeck Street, Cedarville.
11 a.m to 2 p.m.: Hot Dogs and Hot Drinks Concession in the Snowsfest Warm-up Tent in downtown Cedarville.
11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Chili Cook Off: Commercial, Restaurant and Individual divisions. Chili entries must be at the Snowsfest tent in Cedarville between 10:30 am and 11 am. Free entry for cook-off contestants. Tasters buy tickets to vote for favorite chili! Sponsored by First National Bank, Les Cheneaux Branch.
11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.: Poker Run Registration in the Snowsfest Tent, downtown Cedarville. Ride, walk or run to the following locations to collect your stamps: Albany Bar, Ang-Gio’s Restaurant, Cattail’s Cove, Cedar Pantry, Islander Bar & Grill, Kewadin Casino, Raber Bay Bar n’ Restaurant, Runway Bar, Snow’s Bar & Grill, Yoopman's Bar, Grill & Grocery

2:00 p.m.: Emergency Ice Rescue demonstration by the United States Coast Guard.
3 p.m.: Winter Wonderland Dog Walk - takes off in downtown Cedarville. Participants will receive a goodie bag and neckerchief for their dog to wear. Donations welcome, and will help support Friends of the Animals activities.
5 p.m to 7 p.m: Poker Run Ends at Snow’s Bar and Grill, on Park Avenue, Cedarville. Awards to follow.
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 19
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Les Cheneaux “Sip n’ Shop,” Farmers & Artisans Market at the Hessel School House, Hessel. Find an array of locally raised and grown meats, produce, and other foods, plus interesting and innovative art and craft made by artisans from throughout the Eastern UP. Hot and fresh, locally roasted coffee, and Les Cheneaux Culinary School student creations add to the fun.

Drawing for the Snowsfest Raffle at the Les Cheneaux Welcome Center, 5 pm, Cedarville.
